When you receive an email, you can process it using Message Jay. The time it takes to process the email is measured in seconds and minutes. Most workflow runs take only a few seconds to process. We bill to the second.
Don't worry, when your free minutes for the month are used up, you can still process emails, but each additional minute will cost $0.01. We'll notify you when you're approaching your limit.
AI credits are used for any action that requires AI when processing an email. This includes actions like summarizing emails, generating replies, and extracting information. Each action that uses AI will consume a certain number of credits based on the length of the email and of the output. For example, summarizing a short email might use 10-20 credits, while generating a detailed reply could use 50-100 credits. Generating automations does not use any AI credits.
No, not every automation uses AI credits. Only actions within an automation that specifically require AI will consume credits. For example, if you have an automation that simply moves emails to a folder or sends a predefined response, it won't use any AI credits. However, if your automation includes steps like summarizing the email content or generating a custom reply using AI, those specific actions will consume AI credits.
When you run out of AI credits, you can still use all features of Message Jay, but any action that requires AI will be charged at $0.01 per 1000 credits.
An automation is a custom workflow that handles your emails for you. It runs automatically when a specific event occurs—like when you receive a new message. For example, our Follow-Up Reminder automation sends you a gentle nudge if someone hasn’t replied to your email within a set time. If you set this up, it counts as one automation.
You can connect your GMail directly, for all other services you can use IMAP and SMTP to connect. This is the same method as your email client uses to connect to your email service.
